What are HTTP headers?

HTTP headers are hidden key-value pairs exchanged between a browser and a server. They contain crucial instructions about security policies, cache, and redirect rules.

Why is Gzip or Brotli compression important?

Compression can reduce transferred text bytes. Actual savings depend on content and server settings; this test compares responses for the selected URL rather than measuring browser load time or every CSS and JavaScript resource.

Gzip vs Brotli: Which is better?

Gzip and Brotli are compression formats. The response Content-Encoding shows the format selected for this request. This test does not benchmark both algorithms independently, and savings are unavailable when a usable identity-response baseline cannot be obtained.

How do I check if my website has missing security headers?

Review the observed HSTS, CSP and other security-header diagnostics in context. A present header can still be misconfigured, and a missing header alone is not proof of a vulnerability. Results describe this response from the server’s network view, not every page or browser session.
